alix mccorkle

Originally from Oregon, WI, Alix is currently a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater majoring in Marketing with a Digital emphasis and minoring in Dance. Tapping into her passion for social media marketing, she works as a marketing assistant at the UW-W James R. Connor University Center, where her main responsibility is managing the building's Instagram account. She is an active member of Pi Sigma Epsilon, a co-ed business fraternity, and is the Director of Website Development. Additionally, Alix was inducted into Mu Kappa Tau in May 2024 and received the Undergraduate Scholarship award in June 2024. Outside of the College of Business & Economics, Alix is the student coach of the UW-Whitewater Dance Team; this year will be her second year coaching and her fourth year on the team! 

Before her time at UW-Whitewater, Alix danced competitively for about 10 years at her local dance studio, A Leap Above Dance. She dabbled in most sports growing up, including basketball and golf, but none nearly matched her passion for dance. Now, Alix teaches jazz and hip hop classes to children ages 8-12.

In her free time, you can find Alix trying out new recipes, building puzzles, visiting new restaurants, and enjoying time with friends and family.
